I've been around gospel music my whole life.  My mother and I used to travel around to concerts of national groups like the Kingsmen as well as local groups around Kentucky like my childhood favorite, The Psalmist Quartet.
     Despite my love of listening to gospel music, I hated to sing, period!  It was only after much prodding from my then pastor's wife that I begrudgingly joined the church choir.  Then her son climbed on my back and rode me all the way to Kentucky State Youth Choir tryouts.  It was only there that I had a transfusion and singing got into to my bloodstream, went straight to my heart, and I was lost in the splendor of singing God's message to his people.  I've never looked back.  So thank you for nagging me, Lana and Matt Sanders.

     Since then, I have traveled and sang with His Witness, One Step Closer, Euphoria, The Sons Of Liberty (fill in lead), The Journeymen Quartet, The Sons Family, The Joyful Heirs and Calvary's Voice.  There were definite heartbreaking moments throughout the last twenty years, but with each heartache came a chance to learn more about God's grace and direction.  Though painful at times, each step has brought me into the person I am today and I'm sure more changes are on the way.
